Nicolai Huch was born in 1977 in Bielefeld, Germany. In 2008, he graduates from Beaux-Arts under the supervision of Valérie Favre.
He is represented in Berlin by FRISCH, a private exhibition space whose aim is to promote and support artistic creation. Doctor Harald Frisch presented a personal exhibition by him in January 2009, accompanied by a catalogue.
Nicolai Huch uses huge canvasses to compose a theatrical universe of blurred and enigmatic scenes, filled with hybrid figures. A dark and frightening universe which is a figment of his imagination, while also evoking the actual state of the world.
